What is the Row by Row Experience?

Row by Row Experience® is for avid quilters and sewers who love to travel and love to add the next new quilt to their collection. Row by Row Experience began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York State. Today thousands of stores in the US, Canada and Europe welcome travelers through their doors. Travelers collect row patterns, then create stunning quilts with those rows … and no two are alike!

This year's theme is "Sew Musical", so each themed 'row' from each quilt shop will be inspired by that theme this year. Traditionally the rows have been all one size, 36" by 9". This year, however, there are more 'row' dimensions for store owners to choose from, allowing each quilter to make an even more unique quilt.

Quilters get free patterns or buy kits to make a quilt shop 'row'. Each quilt shop offers a different take on the Row by Row theme. Make 8 or more 'rows' from different quilt shops into a quilt, then show off your creativity at your favorite shop. Each shop has a designated prize for the first quilter during the Row by Row season to do this! Over the years, Row by Row Experience has expanded to include spin off programs such as the 9th Row and Row by Row Junior.

We can't wait for you to see our row this 2018 season! The Row by Row Experience and Row by Row Junior start on June 21st and end on September 4th!
